2010 Wrap Up

The other day Brady asked why I don't blog very much and said I should blog more so here is my attempt to at least finish up last year :)

Thanksgiving was spent at the Okuda's with lots of family and yummy food. O had lots of fun and is getting used to being around lots of crazy kids. Towards the end of the day though he had had enough of the wild, loud kids and started getting cranky and yelling at anyone who came too close to him. One day soon he will be the loudest and wildest of those kids so its funny that they get on his nerves. :)

December was pretty uneventful; Brady had finals so O and I headed to my Grandma's for the week. We had a little photo shoot with the leaves in her front yard(I LOVE leaves!). O did not like the leaves and refused to sit in them so we cleared a spot near the tree and he consented to stand, which worked out because we got some awesome shots. here are a couple...

Now to Christmas! I was very excited for this, and it started out wonderfully. However, it soon became not fun at all. We started Christmas Eve opening the few gifts Brady and I had gotten O along with what grandma great got him. He had fun ripping the paper but didn't really get it. He was really excited about the new toys though. We then headed to my parents house and did the traditional PJs and watched "A Christmas Story" with hot chocolate. Fun right? Not so much. O started refusing to eat anything at all and was super super cranky and tired but he also refused to sleep. He did not feel good and slept horribly that night. He woke up and was subdued during presents and then took a 2 1/2 hour nap with daddy. Late Christmas morning we went to Brady's parent's house and opened presents with them. O still wasn't eating and to add to the beauty of the day he got diarrhea also. Not the best of Holidays but we managed. I hope next year is better. All the Okuda Grandkids, 7 girls and O. We found out this day that #9 is on the way from Brady's little bro, so exciting!We did a pinata again this year for the girls and they loved it. O got an honorary picture with it and enjoyed himself with Uncle Koby.

He did find the energy to play with this new toy. He loves all the stuff the grandparents gave him. We are so blessed to have so much wonderful family.

New Years was fairly laid back. We were going to just celebrate East coast New Years, but decided to enjoy our view of the Strip fireworks one last time before we move. We invited Brady's brother and his wife over and watched a movie, ate some pizza and watched the fireworks. O decided to wake up about 10min to midnight so he got to watch a little bit as well. Overall 2010 was great and we are excited for 2011 to be even better!

~expand my cooking repertoire

~ Get through Boards part I

~start thinking about baby #2

~move

~take a no kid vacation

~make a Christmas card to send out

~enjoy entry into toddlerhood.

I think this year will be an adventure
